Miami Dolphins Announce Valicia Browne as Inaugural Football Unites: Project Change Scholarship Recipient

Being named the inaugural recipient of the Miami Dolphins' Football Unites: Project Change Scholarship as a graduating high school senior was more than just a gateway to higher education—it was a life-changing moment that reaffirmed my commitment to service and public health. The full tuition scholarship, created by the Miami Dolphins and championed by the late Jason Jenkins, allowed me to pursue my education without financial barriers.

Now, as I continue my path in public health, I carry with me the lessons, values, and inspiration that Jason and this scholarship instilled in me. His legacy lives on in the countless individuals he empowered, and I am honored to be one of them.

"It won't be your geography that marks your journey. It'll be three things: the depth of your relationships, the foundation of your values and the courage of your decision-making."
